The Last Five Years

"Stagnancy is chased away as solos suddenly transform into scenes. We come to understand that these two people never really knew each other."

-The Daily Princetonian

Conventionally a two-person musical, director and choreographer Eamon Foley expands the cast to include two dancers to explore the famous score from a choreographic standpoint. The silhouettes of the more beautiful, idealized versions of Jamie and Cathy are cast on their apartment walls cast on the walls, begging the question do we truly see the people we fall in love with or do we make them up in our minds? The sparse set hand-held lighting allowed this production to perform in a multitude of locations so we could reach a larger, more varied audience.
