Cyrano: a love letter to a friendship is the story of two best friends whose world is shaken by the sudden arrival of a handsome stranger. Updated from the classic play by Edmond Rostand, this reimagining finds the titular Cyrano and his best friend, the beautiful Christian, as roommates in a heightened depiction of Gay New York City. Integrated projection design, choreography, and a heart warming story work together to explore the “why” that lives behind gay culture’s candy colored intensity.
